About Department of Export Promotion (DEP)
The Department of Export Promotion (DEP) of the Ministry of Commerce is the government agency assigned to explore ways and means of promoting Thai products and services in the global market. One major strategy is to provide Thai manufacturers and exporters opportunities to meet and negotiate with international buyers and importers with the aim of increasing trade and forming business alliances.
The DEP regularly organizes activities within Thailand and overseas to create opportunities for Thai manufactures and exporters to meet international importers to promote trade, to access potential markets and trade partners. These activities are organized in target markets with high purchasing power.
The DEP operates five export promotion centers in Thailand’s provinces to provide advice and information to help Thai companies in the targeted area in development of products and services. The provinces that DEP has a presence are known as regional offices with various location in Chiangmai, Khoonkaen, Chanthaburi, Suratthani and Hadyai. In addition, the DEP has a strong network of 53 offices around the world managing and operating under the title “Thai Trade Center”.
At present, in the metropolitan Bangkok, DEP offers services at two offices – namely in Nonthaburi province and another on Ratchasapisek road in Bangkok. For further information about our Head Office, it’s accessible at www.depthai.go.th.
